Recurrence and Metastasis Occurred - The Abyss of Despair
I was first diagnosed with uterine cancer in 1996. Due to my old age and in order to prevent metastasis, part of my uterus and ovary were removed.
After the operation, I began my radiation treatment. In the spring of 1997, cancer cells were discovered in the remaining part of the uterus. The cancer had also metastasized to my chest and my brain! Subsequently, I was examined and received anticancer treatment at the hospital for some time. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to suppress the proliferation of the cancer cells. I was feeling even more depressed knowing that the doctors were not really able to find me a cure. They advised that only chemo and radiation therapy would be of help to me. I still visit the hospital once a month for regular checks. The diagnosis is that the transferred tumor has almost disappeared and the tumor in the uterus is completely gone.
