I Cherish My Health; but Disease is still with Me

I was a kindergarten teacher before I retired, and I loved those adorable and energetic kids.  I saw them every day so that I truly felt life is lovely and precious. This feeling had a big impact on me; it made me naturally learn to cherish myself and my health.

I have been consciously living a healthy lifestyle with regular habits and routine for a long time. I go to bed early and wake up early; I exercise every day; and I love hiking which is my favourite exercise. I have also developed a very healthy diet with mainly fruits and vegetables, and minimized junk food. Shockingly, disease still got me.

10 years ago, I had a benign uterine sarcoma; I underwent a hysterectomy. (A surgical removal of a uterus.) Since it was a benign tumor, I did not pay attention or keep it in mind. After the surgery, I went back to my normal life.

Ten years later in 2009, I felt uncomfortable and my body continuously had some symptoms during the first 6 months of the year: I felt tired, had no appetite and had constipation. In July 2009, I went to a hospital to have a check-up. The doctor discovered my ovary had a big tumor on it that was 13.6cm. Since the tumor was too big and pressing on the intestine, it affected my daily defecation. After a biopsy, the doctor confirmed it was malignant. It meant I had cancer.

I Am not Afraid Because Everything is Arranged by God

From the moment when I knew I had cancer, I did not feel particular fear or panic like others. I was a devout Christian, I dedicated everything to God. I knew that everything I had experienced was God's plan. As long as God took care of me, I was not afraid of anything.

In the week that I was diagnosed with cancer, I followed the arrangement of the resident doctor of Hospital University to have an Oophorectomy (A surgical removal of an ovary or ovaries). The doctor suggested chemotherapy after my wound healed. I would have my chemotherapy 4 weeks after the surgery.

When my church sisters learned that I had cancer, they were concerned about me; and they prayed for me and wished for me to get well soon. Many friends eagerly provided me with various information about cancer treatments. On one occasion, a church sister told me that her husband was suffering from nasal cancer when they were in Hong Kong.  Their friends introduced them to an anticancer Chinese herbal medicine called Tian Xian Liquid that was a great help for him. In fact, this church sister did not know this anticancer medicine could also be found in Malaysia.

One day, my sister suddenly remembered that she had read a report about Tian Xian Liquid in a health magazine but she could not remember which magazine it was.  My sister devoutly prayed to God for me hoping to find Tian Xian Liquid as soon as possible. On that day, I was looking for a magazine at home; when I opened the first drawer, I saw a health magazine right there. I grasped it and randomly flipped to a page, which was the report onTian Xian Liquid. I found it! Suddenly, I felt that everything was amazing. Maybe God gave me this fate.

My husband and I did not quite understand this product but we felt no other choice at that time. So I drank it without thinking too much. I had a kindly husband who was considerate and caring. He accompanied me through every difficult moment.  One week after I took Tian Xian Liquid, the doctor discovered that my body had recovered quickly and my surgical wound healed quite well. Without waiting any longer, I scheduled the chemotherapy 3 weeks instead of 4 weeks after the surgery.

I Vigorously Maintained a Strong Immunity; I Successfully Survived 6 Cycles of Chemotherapy and Even the Doctor was Surprised!

My doctor explained to me that I needed to take 6 cycles of chemotherapy. Since chemotherapy has side effects, if my body was too weak, I needed to stop it and suspended the treatment for a period of time until my body was revitalized to a healthy enough condition to continue. A lot of patients could not finish the entire course of treatment and gave up halfway because their bodies were too weak.

During the treatments, the side effects soon emerged. I soon lost all my hair; I was fatigued; my hands and feet were cold; my white blood cell count dropped seriously. At this time, the consultants of Tombo encouraged me not to give up. That drop in white cells was a temporary phenomenon, and it would eventually rise back in a few days. In the duration my white blood cell count was up and down; I insisted on taking Tian Xian Liquid, the compound Chinese herbal medicine, integrated with chemotherapy, in mid-December 2009, I successfully completed 6 cycles of chemotherapy. During the entire process of chemotherapy, I experienced the tremendous damage of chemotherapeutic drugs.

A Firm Belief with no Doubt was My Most Powerful Support

My doctor felt surprised that I could successfully complete the chemotherapy. I was quiet and calm from the beginning, when I knew I got cancer, to the end when I completed my treatment. All the doctors felt amazed. The doctor said, “I see patients collapse every day once they hear their diagnosis. A lot of them get depressed during treatments or they are extremely fatigued and need to give up halfway. ” I could calmly and vigorously face the cancer, and I preserved a good condition for the treatment physically and spiritually. Thus, the doctors had stronger confidence in the treatment.  I was clearly aware that a firm belief with no doubt was my most powerful spiritual support. Because of my spiritual faith, I am able to have a calm mind to face every situation in my life. The product of the compound Chinese herb medicine, Tian Xian Liquid, helped me to strengthen, enhance and boost my overall physical condition. It was a wonderful, vital combination of body, mind and spirit that made me smoothly pass through every challenge I faced.

Since July 2009, I stayed in Kuala Lumpur for my treatment. My examination report from February 2010 showed that the cancer cells in my body had been cleared. I was very happy because I could finally go back home to celebrate the Lunar New Year with my family. Nowadays, I am fully recovered, and have no problems with my defecation, appetite, sleep and mental aspects. For the prevention of cancer recurrence, I'm trying hard to maintain all aspects of my health and continue to take Tian Xian Liquid to stabilize the therapeutic effects. I have a healthy lifestyle; I enjoy taking 5 to 6-kilometre walks in a park every day in the morning and evening as my exercise.  It makes me joyful physically and psychologically. I also go to sleep early and wake up early; I wake up at 5am every day and then pray. And I choose to have healthy diet.

By Writing this Diary, I Was Touched by the Hardship and Kind-Heartedness of Life.

After this cancer challenge, I treasure life more.  After I got cancer, I developed a daily habit of writing a diary. When I had time, I would write down all the situations and conditions about the process of my treatment and recorded the details of my treatment and my feelings. It was like homework for my life. During the writing, I was touched by the hardship and kind-heartedness of life. I am very grateful I have a thoughtful husband and my filial children who have married. Since I got sick, my husband was kind and patient with me. He eagerly participated in all my activities, no matter whether I needed to have examinations, go for treatments, go out to buy medicine or research for information. He was clear and fully understood my disease and treatments. He could also remember the date of each examination and treatment. His love for me is a great support for my healing.

Sometimes, my family and friends were holding my hands and they were surprised and said, “Wow, your hands are warm!”  I always replied to them with a smile and said, “Yes, I was a cancer patient who just underwent chemotherapy, and I am recovering; but my hands are even warmer than the hands of my healthy friends.”

I know that God gave me a precious gift: everything in my life (including my family and friends). He gave me the pain as my challenge and let me recover as the reward. He gave me strength so that I was able to face everything calmly. I am grateful to be embraced and beloved by God.
