A Delay in the Screening Test and the Condition Deteriorated into Cancer

Once we hear cancer, we will think of death. I believe I am not the only one to think that way. 4 years ago, my husband was diagnosed with rectum cancer. My 2 daughters and I were heartbroken and cried despairingly. He was kind and caring but why him… I always thought of the worst scenario. Nowadays I look back, and it feels like it just happened yesterday.

Originally, the cancer should have been found a few months earlier. One day, my daughter discovered blood in her father’s stool. Therefore, she took her father to see a doctor immediately. My husband said, “The doctor’s diagnosis is that it is probably bleeding hemorrhoids, no need to worry.” I was relieved. However, the doctor also added a comment: “If the bleeding continues after the medication, then you need to have a further test.”

Now I regret not letting my husband do the test earlier. The disease had become a malignant tumor. We did not have enough time to think and soon my husband had a surgery. It was a 4.5 hour long surgery. In the special treatment room, when I saw him lying on the bed with medical tubes around him, I could not control the tears running down my face.

The attending doctor called my 2 daughters and showed them a piece of meat-like tissue inside a jug and said, “This is the malignant tumor. Luckily, no metastasis has been found. However, cancer cells have grown and invaded outside the rectum. Therefore, the surrounding lymphatic vessels and all the cancer cells that could be seen by the naked eye have been removed.” Even though the doctor simply and easily said it, I was overwhelmed and confused. I was unable to think.

On the day before my husband left hospital, the attending doctor clearly told us the prognosis one by one, including the post-surgical process, treatments and follow-ups in the future. My husband never gave up. He was ready to face the cancer and fight with it. My strong determination was led by his courage. No matter what would happen, I had to help him through this tough time. I started to read books about cancer and health and gained much knowledge and understanding about it. I believed that this cancer-knowledge was more important for a healthy person.

One of the books was written by the Chinese Professor Zhenguo Wang. In the book, it describes the difficult situations he was in. Wang decided to be a cancer specialist (oncologist) and started to develop Tian Xian Liquid. He emphasized how modern medicinal treatments were based on Western conventional treatments. If medical experts can use the improved Chinese medicines as complementary medicines, they could effectively raise up the efficacy of cancer treatments. I was convinced and truly believed his theory.

It was true. During the six months of chemotherapy, my husband insisted on taking Tian Xian Liquid supplement every day; and he never stopped drinking it. I found that his body was much stronger than other cancer patients! In addition, his symptoms of hair loss and loss of appetite were not so serious. I thought this was the outcome of my whole family’s efforts and hard work. 7 months later, the doctor told us that new cells had been regenerated and no abnormal things had been found.

In these past four years, my husband and I have a greater, healthier life and relationship. We continue to work in our liquor store which we have been running for 30 years. Our neighbors all give us praise. My husband has been drinking Tian Xian Liquid. More importantly, we have an in-depth understanding about our lives. Spiritually, we are more calm and healthy. We smile more and laugh louder with more cheerfulness. I have never had such wonderful experiences before. Life can be so wonderful. I think the meaning of life is not only to survive, but also to obtain health.
